End of an Era – Gordon Hook Farewelled
On Friday, 1 March the APG Co-Chair Deputy Commissioner Ian McCartney, alongside the APG Secretariat farewelled Gordon Hook after 18 years as the Executive Secretary of the APG. During his time leading the APG Secretariat, Gordon provided invaluable support to the APG Co-Chairs, the Governance Committee, Secretariat staff and to all APG members.
Since Gordon took on the role of Executive Secretary, the APG has grown to be an increasingly high-performing and well-respected member of the global AML/CFT network. The APG membership has expanded from 35 to 42 jurisdictions and has included several key observer jurisdictions and organisations during this time. This is a testament to Gordon’s leadership, vision and hard work.
We congratulate Gordon on a highly successful career and his dedicated service to the APG and wish him all the best for the future and hope to see him around the region before too long.
